Aldemaro Romero Jr. is a public intellectual, scholar and former higher education administrator. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona, Spain, and his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Miami, Florida. He has published more than 1,100 pieces, including more than 30 books and monographs and hundreds of articles in both peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed publications.
His academic interests range from environmental studies, cave biology and paleontology, to marine biology, to history and philosophy of science, science communication, and higher education. He has also been involved in mass communication and art productions and has been awarded numerous grants and prizes for his research, teaching, and communications work that includes directing, producing, written, and hosted about 2000 radio and podcasts and more than 500 videos and TV shows, including award-winning nature documentaries.
